Hailey McGlone

Born and raised in regional Victoria, in the historic town of Ballarat, Hailey grew up surrounded by strong community and close family ties. Coming from a single-parent household taught her independence early on, and instilled in her a deep understanding that how you treat people truly matters. Those early years shaped her appreciation for meaningful connection, genuine friendships and quality over quantity - values she carries with her today.

Leaving regional Victoria for Far North Queensland opened an entirely new chapter in her life. Drawn by a quiet yearning for creativity and personal expression, Hailey found her way to Martinique Island Style after working in hospitality and tourism. While she loved sharing beautiful places with others, she was ready to explore a more creative side of herself. What began as a retail assistant role has naturally evolved, with Wendy encouraging her eye behind the lens. Open and eager to learn, she has embraced every opportunity to grow - developing her photography, refining her creative instincts and building confidence within a supportive, female-led small business environment where encouragement and trust are part of the culture.Reflecting on her own growth alongside Wendy, she says simply - "I'm learning how to carry myself and speak to people - and Wendy's confidence inspires me every day."

Hailey’s aesthetic is relaxed and intentional. She is drawn to pieces that feel real rather than overdone - thoughtful details, personality and a balance between beauty and practicality. To her, something feels right when it feels natural and effortless. She approaches her work with curiosity and openness, always striving to help each person find something meaningful - not just beautiful.

Home for Hailey is in Julatten, just outside Port Douglas, where she lives with her fiancé Daniel and their two young children, Charli and Archer. Life is full, joyful and often a little chaotic - a rhythm she affectionately describes as organised chaos. Outside of the store, she finds peace in photography, capturing fleeting moments, and in the reef and rainforest she now calls home. She is continually evolving creatively, open to learning, grounded in family, and quietly building a path that feels true to her.
